2015 Cape Jaffa La Lune Mt Benson Shiraz
Machine-harvested, 10 days on skins, then pressed to French oak (14% new) for 18 months maturation. The estate is biodynamic, the wine made according to the phases of the moon. A fresh bouquet and palate on the light side of medium-bodied, particularly on the finish where savoury/spicy fruits take control rather than tannins. The flavours are intense, with spice, liquorice and bramble all in play. A wine with time on its side. 14.5% alc.
