2016 Chain of Ponds Novello Adelaide Cabernet Merlot

Destemmed, 8 days on skins, matured in French oak for 10 months. I can’t fathom why this has such a low price. It’s rich and supple, with layer upon layer of luscious cassis/Ribena fruit offset by a precisely judged framework of savoury herbal fruit and ripe tannins.

Will go the distance many times over. 476 dozen made. 14% alc.
