2010 Quinta do Vale Dona Maria LBV

PORTUGAL Not one of the ‘big’ Port house names, but definitely one to know. This Portuguese producer is driven by innovation, yet its Ports are as mouthwateringly voluptuous as ever; this LBV a great case in point. Made with a field blend of native grapes, this is thick with clove and star anise-covered black fruits, and has wonderfully balanced sweetness leading to a fantastic length.
