On a recent trip to the Hunter Valley, my first in about five years, I had the best cellar door experience I’ve ever encountered, and I’ve been to my share of wine regions. This standout was Usher Tinkler Wines. It’s a must-visit. I went on a Wednesday with my son and had an amazing tasting, so we booked the following Saturday for four of us. We had a cheese and salami board and each of the different wines were served at our table. The service from the staff was impressive; they were efficient and had outstanding knowledge of all the wines. They were also having fun serving us. The

Nose to Tail White semillon chardonnay is a great example of the blend, and for something different, The Enneagram has nine varieties in it. But all the wines were great. Well done Hunter Valley! The whole experience was great, from the vineyards to restaurants and distilleries, lookouts and the very friendly people. We can’t wait to go back.
