VICTORIA’S TOP GONGS

Montalto on the Mornington Peninsula won both the Red and White Table Wine trophies at the recent Victorian Wine Show for wines from the same vineyard. The 2017 Montalto Tuerong Block Single Vineyard Chardonnay ($60) and 2017 Montalto Tuerong Block Single Vineyard Pinot Noir ($70) collected the honours, with the pinot also winning Best Wine in Show. The Premier’s Trophy went to the 2017 Gurdies Winery Orchid Label Chardonnay, while Pfeiffer Wines won Most Successful Exhibitor. For all results, visit victorianwinesshow.com.au
