2018 Thomas Wines Braemore Individual Vineyard Semillon

Pale lemon-green in colour, this wine has aromas of lime zest, lemongrass and minerals. Its crisp, lithe and layered palate has cascades of grapefruit, yuzu, starfruit and greengage, with a long and mouthwatering finish.

What do you look for in your semillon?

I’m looking for purity, elegance and balance with good intensity of classic semillon fruit flavours. I like to ensure our wines can be enjoyed as youngsters or cellared for decades to come.

What do you love about Hunter semillon?

It is unique. Naturally low in sugar and alcohol, it’s also a ‘healthy’ wine. And as one of the few white grape varietals that can age beautifully for decades, it reaches a crescendo of sourdough toast, roasted nuts and spice flavours.
