2021 Audrey Wilkinson The Oakdale Chardonnay, Hunter Valley

This sits pretty, between the textural elements of the Marsh and the limber, impeccably poised and fresh Winemakers Selection (excuse the lack of apostrophe but I am copying the script on the bottle). Flint. Stone fruits glimpsed, but far from overt. Lovely oak, tucking in the seams. A gentle creaminess, but nothing obtuse. For Hunter chardonnay this plays a discreet, tightly held deck.
