2019 St Hallett Mighty Ox Shiraz, Barossa Zone

From the dry and low-yielding 2019 vintage and packaged in a ‘Barossa stubby’ (a magnum, to the uninitiated), the ‘19 Mighty Ox provides all you could want from a shiraz from this region. Plushly fruited with lashings of satsuma plum and blackberry characters, deep layered spice, turned earth, roasting meats and dark chocolate. It’s concentrated, yet there is detail and clarity to its form and a sense that it is very comfortable in its own skin, with a fresh, pure-fruited finish that lingers persistently. DB 15% alc.
