With 3% viognier, the shiraz fruit crushed over viognier skins. Fermentation finished and matured for 12 months in French oak hogsheads (new and seasoned). Viognier adds a red-snake slick to the berry fruit in the mouth – this is glossy, a little bit slippery, juicy, and loaded with flavour. Elegant, restrained, and quite gorgeous.
