2020 Groom Bush Block Zinfandel, Barossa Valley

Produced from 18yo zinfandel vines in the Kalimna parish in the north of the Barossa, with a splash of shiraz (10%), aged in 50/50% French/American oak (25% new) for 12 months. Impressively pure blackberry and black cherry-fruit characters, dredged deeply with fruitcake spice with hints of mince pies, Old Jamaica chocolate, earth and well-judged vanillin oak.
