What do you love most about your region?

As the oldest continuous wine region in Australia, the Hunter Valley is a living history of almost 200 years of winegrowing in this country. The strikingly beautiful landscape combines the natural beauty of the mountains, rivers and plains, dotted with eucalypts and the rolling green blocks allocated to viticulture. The Hunter Valley grows and makes unique, world-renowned wines of exceptional quality, and the area offers guests unlimited opportunities to enjoy these regional wine styles with great restaurants and accommodation in abundance.

Describe your wines and how they reflect the region?

Margan offers 100 per cent single vineyard wines, all estate grown and made in the small subregion of Broke Fordwich. We have 100ha of certified sustainably farmed vineyards, most of which are grown on the unique volcanic soil of the Fordwich Sill. We have the traditional Hunter varieties which are mostly old, low yielding vines as well as plantings of pioneering alternative varieties.
