What would you like readers to know about your winery?

Téssera is Ancient Greek for four – four friends making great wines, and if you do it right there is only four glasses in a bottle. Our wines tell stories and create connections. In this fast-paced world, our passion is to make beautiful wines the slow way with a story to tell. Our winemakers are some of the best in McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills, where the art of open ferment, basket pressing, minimal sulfites and oak ageing is paramount.

Which of your latest releases are you most excited about?

That’s like choosing your favourite child! We love all our wines but the standout would have to be our latest release, the 2016 Foxtrot Pinot Noir. Produced by one of our winemakers, Phil Christiansen, the Silver Fox of McLaren Vale, this wine is lusciously decadent with velvety tannins.
