What would you like readers to know about your winery?

Monteperle are single vineyard wines, and our aim is to give a snapshot of a time and place by allowing the characteristics of our site to show through while encouraging the differences that happen from vintage to vintage. Over time, we hope that the story and evolution of our vineyard can be seen through our wines.

For those who are new to your winery, what is the perfect introductory wine?

Our GSM is the perfect introductory wine. It will show the array of flavours of each variety, while maintaining the finer, more aromatic characteristics of the Lyndoch area in the Southern Barossa. It has approachable fruit up front, great for having a glass with friends, but enough backbone to complement a range of food.

Which of your latest releases are you most excited about?

The Mataro is a wine that has always caught me by surprise. It is unassuming during vintage, but over the course of the first year it will start to show its beauty. Lovely perfumed, meaty black fruits, with supple textures, that make it a delight to drink.
