French oak (80% new), unfined and unfiltered. Super-elegant lacy tannins shape the sweet cherry and cranberry fruit. Counterpoint to the pretty characters here, there is also olive tapenade and salted heirloom tomato. This has layers of fine spice; the mineral saline acidity curls and weaves its way across the palate. This is absolutely delicate, the oak imperceptible, while the length of flavour persists far beyond what is expected, showing the strength of the combination of site and handling.
