2019 Penley Estate Eos Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon, Coonawarra

Matured for 18 months in French oak (40% new). Like all the Penley reds tasted this year, this is vibrant and bright on the nose. Brambly blackberries, mulberries and fresh garden mint adorn the aromas, while in the mouth, the acidity swooshes in and out of each of the flavours, enlivening them and making way for the fine tannins: the carriage upon which the experience rides across the mouth. A modern, concentrated take on the classical Australian blend. EL 14% alc.
