2021 Billy Button Wines The Clandestine Schioppettino, Alpine Valleys

This northern Italian variety has to be considered a future star variety of the Alpine Valleys if the last few releases are anything to go by. It’s a meal-in-itself kind of wine, a rolling, fragrant mix of bramble, black pepper, wild berries, anise, chocolate, briar and earthiness in one. Finely etched acid and tannin shape the palate ripe in fruit and with real presence in the glass. JP 14% alc.
