What do you love most about your region, and how does it influence the wine you produce?
Almost every site in Gippsland has a unique terroir so the variety of wine styles on offer is extensive. Its cool climate lends itself primarily to pinot noir and chardonnay, although there are some other varieties thriving here too. There is also no standard approach to winemaking in the region, giving us the freedom to play with our vineyard and winemaking in ways that are always intriguing to us, while continuing to learn vintage after vintage. It’s a region of huge possibilities!
Why is your cellar door a must-visit?
Our cellar door is perfectly positioned to look across the Mitchell River Valley to the limestone escarpment and vineyard. We have collaborated with some of our favourite local restaurants to create a limited food offering highlighting local produce, curated specifically to complement the wine tasting experience.
