INSTAGRAM STYLE PICKS
@HEARTOFBONE_ I love my Heart of Bone Instagram community. We’ve launched a charm studio recently where clients can go online and choose charms that best suit their personality. Lots of girls are gifting them to bridesmaids or brides or for milestone birthdays.
@DAPHNE.GUINNESS When I met Daphne Guinness, the style icon, in Sydney, she said she loved working with artists who created jewellery or clothing, and it was so important for her to support these artists and not big fashion brands pumping out collection after collection. She nailed it.
@PATRICKCHRISTIEINK He’s my daily muse and studio partner. The two of us recently created a collection for VAMFF called Born to Hustle, where we repurposed vintage clothing such as Chanel, YSL and Balmain with studding, beading, embroidery, patches, paint and gold leaf. The collection included a Harley-davidson jacket, which we gilded with 23-karat gold leaf. They’ve been purchased by collectors all around the world.
@AZZEDINEALAIAOFFICIAL My most beloved designer. I’ve been collecting Azzedine Alaïa since I was 20. I bought my first piece from Eurotrash [boutique] that I saved and saved up for. I’ve got a whole closet of vintage Alaïa, lots from the ’80s and early ’90s. I do wear them, although most of the pieces have been archived. It became a bit of an addiction. My daughter is named Azzedine.
Abrahams in her bathroom, with a reproduction 18th-century chair she painted, silver-gilded and covered in fabric designed with Boyac. She wears Levi’s jacket customised by artist Patrick Christie; vintage knit; Gucci skirt; Molly Goddard tulle skirt (worn underneath); Gucci shoes.
