Demons suffer big loss
WAROONA Demons suffered another tough loss for the season against Rockingham on Sunday, who took the match by a margin of more than 130 points.
Rockingham dominated from the start kicking 10 goals in the first quarter to none from Waroona, holding their strong position to win 25.10 (160) to Waroona 5.3 (33).
The Demons were on the board in the second quarter with a goal but could not overcome Rockingham who kicked another six goals.
After half-time, Rockingham kicked another four goals while the Demons continued to fight replying with a goal of their own.
The Demons were undeterred and came out fighting in the final quarter of the match kicking three goals to Rockingham’s five.
After the break for the Landmark Football Championship, Waroona face off against Halls Head at 2.30pm on Sunday, July 22, at Hot Klobba Stadium.
Waroona sit just off the bottom of the ladder ahead of Mandurah, having recorded two wins this season.
In the reserves, Rockingham 25.15 (165) defeated Waroona 0.1 (1).
In the colts, Rockingham 27.17 (179) defeated Waroona 2.1 (13).
