Pun­ters are tipped to flock to the Bunbury Turf Club this af­ter­noon, with the hall­mark Mel­bourne Cup day meet­ing again ea­gerly an­tic­i­pated.

Across the eight-race pro­gram, train­ers and run­ners will have sev­eral op­por­tu­ni­ties to se­cure vic­tory on the big stage.

One of those train­ers, Justin War­wick, will be hop­ing his four year old Bye Bye Love can re­turn to form in the 3YO and up Class 5 (2038m).

Stand­ing in the mare’s way is Rhys Rad­ford’s four year old Twen­tythree Red, who has drawn bar­rier nine and is ex­cel­lent touch.

Rad­ford’s geld­ing has won two of his last three and will pose plenty of ques­tions to the field if he gets into the groove early.

Rac­ing starts at 12.34pm, with the last race at 5pm.
