How of­ten have you replied to the ques­tion ‘How are you?’ with the word ‘Busy’? These days ‘busy’ is the new ‘fine’. Some­times it’s nice to be busy, but mil­lions of us are now too busy to be healthy (see How to Stay Healthy at Work on page 38 for some easy tips). In a re­cent survey, over a third of women aged 18–50 said they did not have the time to pre­pare or eat healthy foods be­cause of fam­ily com­mit­ments. Let’s face it, when life gets hec­tic, we tend to let our­selves slip low on our pri­or­i­ties list.
