Letter from the Editor
Hello and welcome to the Audacious Edition of Hepburn. We are a long way from gender equality, job and wage parity but we certainly have made tremendous progress. It is truly heartwarming and inspiring to hear stories from women who are not only achieving their goals but achieving their goals in traditionally male-dominated industries.
This month we re-ignite Hepburn in Conversation and I was inspired by our guest the amazing Stephanie Bofinger. She stands as a role model for women who fear starting again, learning something new, creating something new, daring to be different, and daring to achieve and excel in the traditionally male dominated motorbike sports industry. As always our in house team brings you exciting articles to read. We explore The Strength of Staying Quiet, Passion versus Obsession, Developing Your Leadership Skills, and we share Fashion Trends with guest contributor Sallyanne Astille founder of the eponymous Astille label. And with finance in mind we have Preparing for Your Retirement.
Our Business Book Review section features The Fearless Organization, by Amy C. Edmonson. We also invite you to Escape to the Hunter Valley, encourage you to try Rockclimbing, and inspire you to find an activity with our seven options in Put a Spring in Your Step.
With the theme of empowerment in mind, we feature women who have inspired us in many ways and hope they will inspire you too! We Honour the Memory of Queen Elizabeth II, a woman to be admired. And we feature in our Influential Women in Leadership is Sanna Marin, our Amazing Australian Women is Dr Red Ruby Scarlett, and our Inspirational International Women is Miriam Aguero Lorenzo.
Each of these women are amazing in their own right and our stories provide a small glimpse into their triumphs, their courage, and how their actions forged a pathway for others to follow. We will be sharing these stories on our YouTube and podcast channels shortly.
Like any journey, Hepburn is not a solo adventure. It is only achieved through the efforts of an amazing team and our contributors. I personally wish to thank each member for their contribution to make each issue better than the last. And send a special thank you to our contributors and journalists.
So, as another month begins, I welcome you and invite you to read the Audacious Edition of Hepburn.
