Green project flies the flag

MELBOURNE developer Spec Property is hailing the upcoming Flagstaff Green apartment project in West Melbourne as its flagship development.

Located at 15 Batman St, there will be 247 apartments with prices starting from $350,000.

The 20-level building is a short walk from the CBD and almost next to the Flagstaff Gardens, offering park and cityscape views.

Spec Property’s leading architect, Chris Loftus, said premium finishes were chosen for the one, two and threebedroom apartments.

“As a standard, we include wide format timber boards, stone finishes, natural wool carpets and frameless glass shower screens,” he said.

“In fact, we’ve maximised on bespoke storage across all spaces, while the upper levels feature parquetry flooring and double showers to select bathrooms.”

The developer, which is behind the Trilby project in Collingwood, Richmond’s Billy & Co and The Maybloom development in Hawthorn, has also offered the full gamut of communal amenities at Flagstaff Green, with a concierge, courtyard, kitchen and entertaining facilities. There is also a media room, indoor pool, spa and gym. Then there are the exclusive items for residents on levels 15 to 20, including private rooftop gardens with dining areas and a teppanyaki grill and bar.

The larger two and threebedroom layouts are expected to appeal to owner-occupiers, while one-bedroom properties are expected to entice investors.

Spec Property director Simon Abdelmalak said market standards had been raised with the Flagstaff Green project.

“We have gone to great lengths to introduce buyers to all the privileges of modern Melbourne living, keeping it cost-effective while adding value,” Mr Abdelmalak said.

Prices for one-bedroom layouts are $350,000 to $445,000; two-bedroom designs are from $575,000 to $905,000; and three-bedroom apartments range from $965,000 to $1.5 million.
