Home choice key to high Calibre living

Buying off the plan doesn’t mean giving up customisations at this project

-

BUYERS can choose between working from home or cocktail hour at a Keysborough development likened to “a full display home for off-the-plan townhouses”. The Calibre townhouses put home hunters in the driver’s seat, with extensive customisation on offer, as well as a variety of either-or options including a study nook or a cocktail bar.

Barry Plant’s CheeKy Dunlop said the approach had been popular, with 16 of the project’s first 42 homes sold within five weeks.

“It’s like a full display home for offthe-plan townhouses,” Mr Dunlop said.

“It’s not a cookiecutter build. They are really well specced.”

Luxury options run from stonefeature walls and timber-look cabinetry in the living spaces, to curtain pelmets.

Indoor-outdoor living is encouraged with full-height glazing and sliding doors between living spaces and garden areas.

The copious natural light that filters in as a result will also highlight the oak floorboards and stone surfaces within the homes. While most will have living spaces on the ground floor and bedrooms upstairs, a handful facing a wetland area will take advantage of the views with an upstairs kitchen and balcony.

The spacious homes range from 140sq m of interior space for a twobedroom residence up to 225sq m in the four-bedroom abodes, with a mix of double- and triple-storey floorplans.

Mr Dunlop said government benefits including HomeBuilder grants worth $25,000 or $15,000, depending when buyers sign up, and a 50 per cent stamp duty cut had tempted a range of buyers — including parents buying a future home for their high-school-aged children.

The well-located development is next to Keysborough South Shopping Centre, with green spaces a few hundred metres down the road and Keysborough Golf Club also close.

It is expected to commence construction in mid 2021 and be completed by about mid 2022.

Two-bedroom townhouses cost $587,000 and three-bedroom offerings, $687,000.

Four-bedroom homes range from $749,000-$849,000.
