BARGELLO 42MK2

- BY ARDEN HOMES WORDS: NATASHA PERERA

THE Bargello 42MK2 has a sophisticated look and layout for growing families seeking to step up their style. The double-storey home offers carefully considered spaces to cater for the needs and desires of a busy household that loves to entertain. Arden Homes director Dean Morrison said a study nook with a built-in desk for two was just one of the indemand features that made the home more family friendly.

“It provides a great place for teenagers to do their homework,” Mr Morrison said.

The study space slots in nicely upstairs as part of the kids’ retreat and is well positioned given their bedrooms — all of them with walk-in wardrobes — are neatly grouped close by.

There are two bathrooms on this floor as well, including one offering ensuite-style access to the bedrooms that flank it.

“The layout provides some independence for the kids and parents,” Mr Morrison said.

The ground-floor main bedroom has a large walk-in wardrobe with a dressing area and an ensuite featuring plenty of pampering touches. These include a dual vanity, a freestanding bath and an oversized shower.

A fresh palette of lightcoloured timber-look joinery, crisp-white finishes and matt-black tapware and handles add further contemporary flair to the home.

“It certainly has an on-trend look, but one that will have longevity,” Mr Morrison said.

Described by the builder as “next level”, the kitchen forms the focal point of the open living zone. It has a good view of the dining space, lounge area and outdoors that will be helpful when entertaining.

The island bench is the heart of the space and has timber legs that make it look like an elegant piece of furniture, while a casual eating space is smartly integrated at one end.

Other highlights of the kitchen include integrated Fisher & Paykel appliances and a large walk-in pantry and laundry set directly behind the work area for added convenience.

The kitchen and laundry were designed in collaboration with Carole Whiting Interiors + Design. Sliding stacker doors from the family room and living area open to a welcoming courtyard for indooroutdoor ease. The clever court helps harness natural light to support an open and airy feel.

Perfect for a 14m-wide block, the Bargello 42MK2 is also suitable for those after a knockdown-rebuild option.

With 14 exterior looks to choose from, the Voss — one of the builder’s most-popular facades — is displayed here.
