Watchman takes flight
HARPER Lee’s new blockbuster has become the fastestselling adult novel of the past five years in Australia, beating works by JK Rowling, EL James and Dan Brown.
Dymocks reports record sales for Go Set a Watchman at its 65 stores, with pre-orders and two-day sales close to 4000 copies, more than twice as many as Brown’s 2013 thriller Inferno.
Dymocks spokeswoman Sophie Higgins said Lee’s longawaited follow-up to To Kill A Mockingbird smashed the 2012 record set by JK Rowling’s The Casual Vacancy, the Harry Potter author’s first adult novel.
