Rance a bolter
ALEX Rance has had an outstanding season and one punter is confident he will buck the trend of defenders polling poorly in the Brownlow Medal with a $50 bet on him at $2501 to win.
Should Rance go on to win Richmond’s first Brownlow since Ian Stewart in 1971 the punter will pocket $125,050.
Fremantle’s Nat Fyfe heads the market at $1.40.
Finals fancy
NORTH Melbourne is expected to defeat Essendon at Etihad Stadium tonight and the Kangaroos have had their price slashed to make the finals.
The Kangaroos have won four of their past five matches against the Bombers and are $1.24 with Essendon $4.10.
North has had its finals odds slashed from $2.25 into $1.50 after belting Geelong last weekend, while Essendon is $51 to feature in the September action.
Easy money?
ONE punter is looking to make an easy $1200 this weekend betting against an AFL and NRL struggler.
“We took a $5000 bet on Fremantle beating Carlton into Brisbane beating the Wests Tigers at odds of $1.24,” TAB’s Trent Langskaill said.
Should both be successful the punter will pocket $6200.
