LANG TO STAY WITH CATS

GEE­LONG has se­cured promis­ing midfielder Darcy Lang on a new two-year deal.

Lang, 19, made his AFL de­but last sea­son. He has played ev­ery game this year and said it was an easy de­ci­sion to stay with the Cats.

“I’m over the moon; it’s some­thing that you want to be — a one-club player,” Lang told the Cats’ web­site.

Lang is the fourth Gee­long player to re-sign in the past week, join­ing Tom Hawkins, Jack­son Thur­low and Jor­dan Mur­doch.

Vet­eran Steven Mot­lop, who is com­ing out of con­tract, is yet to de­cide on his fu­ture.
