IF there’s ever been a poster girl for fitter, faster and more fabulous in your 40s, it has to be Sinead Diver.

The Melbourne mum, 41, a hot tip to win the women’s race at the Medibank Melbourne Marathon tomorrow, is optimistic about her preparation.

Diver believes she is in good form to top her previous personal best time of 2:31:37, posted in March 2017.

“I’m a lot fitter now than I was then so I’d like to improve on that,” she said.

“It would be nice to get the win, too, but that will depend on how the race pans out on the day,” she said.

The Medibank Melbourne Marathon festival includes five events of different distances, all finishing at the MCG. Expect road closures around the ’G and St Kilda Rd and St Kilda junction.

Sinead Diver is a leading prospect in the women’s Melbourne Marathon.
