BENDIGO COURT BOOST
SPECIALISED family violence courtrooms would be built by a re-elected Labor government as part of a $152 million rebuild of Bendigo’s courts precinct.
Premier Daniel Andrews made the announcement yesterday with Bendigo East MP and Public Transport Minister Jacinta Allan.
The plan is part of a wider construction blitz around the city and will create 450 jobs.
The new building, on a former TAFE site, would include a family violence courtroom and better security for victims of crime.
Mr Andrews said new law courts would provide modern and safe facilities.
