‘TIME TO GO’, SAYS JEAN, 91

AN English widow an­nounced she had “fi­nally popped her clogs” at 91 by writ­ing her own death no­tice for the lo­cal news­pa­per.

Jean Hed­ley said “it was time to go” in the piece, pub­lished by the Dar­ling­ton­based North­ern Echo af­ter her death last month.

It stated: “Jean Hed­ley would like to say to all her lov­ing fam­ily and friends that she has fi­nally POPPED HER CLOGS and gone to be with Ted, her lov­ing late hus­band who she has missed ter­ri­bly for 25 years. Don’t be sad, she was ready, it was time to go.”
