Sending Kookai PR into overdrive

Herald Sun - - NEWS -

THE PR machine is revving up to recreate the image of Kookai fashion queen DANIELLE VAGNER.

Word on the street is that Vagner is looking to open an orphanage overseas for underprivileged children.

The Toorak socialite and cofounder of the $100 million clothing brand (pictured right) has a PR team hard at it rebuilding her “look” after her embarrassing drinkdriving escapades earlier this year.

In June, the 53year-old Vagner was filmed navigating her mangled luxury 4WD Range Rover down an alleyway as police chased on foot.

Vagner was behind the wheel when she smashed into the front of a South Yarra home on a Tuesday afternoon. Given she faces five years in the clink, an orphanage might be just the get-out-of-jail card she needs. Page 13 spoke with Vagner, who praised our interest in her story, but said she was overseas and could not comment. Hands-on building the orphanage? The more cynical (who us?) might suggest the wheels are in motion for a carefully spun TV news story to coincide with her appearance in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court next week.
