What was once known as Markets at the Manor is now officially the new and improved Highfields Village Markets, in an impressive and refreshed location — the Highfields Village Shopping Centre.

On the second Saturday of every month from noon to 5pm and finishing at 4pm in June, July and August, the markets bring an array of spectacular stalls and goodies for visitors to enjoy.

Market coordinators Amy Manz and Susan Jones are over the moon with their new and larger space, with the emphasis on a family friendly atmosphere.

“We wanted to make it a Highfields community market — we wanted it to be somewhere for all the local people to come and enjoy the space,” Susan says.

Stalls include anythings from candles, maintenance, wines, kids clothing, kinesiology, cleaning products, plants, skincare, jewellery, food, accessories, crafts, makeup and more.

“Most of our stallholders are actually local Highfields people,” Susan says.

There will be a free jumping castle and free face painting available for children, so it’s easy to come and enjoy the markets as a family.

With some relaxing spaces set up throughout the markets surrounded by cushions and throw rugs, Susan and Amy are creating a vibe where people can relax and enjoy themselves.

With dance displays, karate demonstrations and live music on the lineup, these unique and fun markets are like no other.

“We’re trying to make it bigger, better and more about the community,” Susan says.

Any community groups that wish to be a part of the markets or perform are more than welcome to get in touch, via the Facebook page Highfields Village Markets or email highfieldsvillagemar[email protected]
