Gal­ston VIEW Club, will be hold­ing its June Lun­cheon meet­ing at Du­ral Coun­try Club com­menc­ing at 11am on Wed­nes­day 22nd June 2016.

13th June - Mon­day Mad Mar­ket Mon­day. Theme: All Things Bri­tish – The “Queen” will be mak­ing her An­nual ap­pear­ance at The Aus­traliana Pi­o­neer Vil­lage, Stalls, Bri­tish Ac­tiv­i­ties, Games and Crafts – Prize for Best Dressed Bri­tish Char­ac­ter.

26th June - Wil­liam Wil­ber­force Day – Wil­liam Wil­ber­force had done many great achieve­ments through­out his life, one of his achieve­ments along with some other friends Founded the Royal So­ci­ety for the Preven­tion of Cru­elty to An­i­mals (RSPCA). To cel­e­brate this we will have a dog obe­di­ence school, the RSPCA, Guide Dogs, Sheep Dog round up and more.

The Syd­ney Hills Branch of the As­so­ci­a­tion of In­de­pen­dent Re­tirees have com­menced the year with a line up of very in­ter­est­ing speak­ers.

Our next meet­ing will be held on Fri­day 1st July, 2016. Beecroft Pres­by­te­rian Church Hall, Wel­ham Street Beecroft. Meet­ing will com­mence at 10.30 am. The guest speaker will be Miriam Pot­ter from the Aus­tralian Cen­sus Bureau .

Free Movie Screen­ing - Od­dball

Hawkes­bury Li­brary Ser­vice will screen Od­dball on Thurs­day, 30 June at 10am and again at 6pm, in as­so­ci­a­tion with Road­show.

Od­dball is a feel good Aus­tralian fam­ily film di­rected by Stu­art McDon­ald and is based on a true story of an ec­cen­tric chicken farmer who trains his mis­chievous dog to pro­tect a pen­guin sanc­tu­ary from fox at­tacks. The film stars Deb­o­rah Mail­man, Shane Ja­cob­son and Sarah Snook.
