THE TAV’S BLUES AND ROOTS PARTY
Remember the days of roaring parties, bands, boozing and hot broads? Well so do we! That’s why on sunday 31st july from 12pm the castle hill tavern will explode with a party to end all parties.
Get set for an afternoon of foot stomping music from a selection of australia’s finest blues ‘n roots acts, fun filled prizes and giveaways.
How good is that? Free stuff for just turning up! Grab your besties and better halves and rock on down to castle hill tavern. You really don’t want to miss this party. The party is being held upstairs in the function room with its own blues bar allowing guests to take a breather and chill out between acts in the bistro and beer garden. With ample parking and extended courtesy bus provided to help you plan the day there is no reason to sit at home. And it’s all free!
The line-up consists of: blues exile, the hollerin sluggers, charlie harper band, jim finn, the 4 kings, jack derwin and mark ‘n the blues plus international american touring act: ruby dee and the snakehandlers who make a guest appearance at 12pm - who will perform a mixture of traditional blues to blues, rock that will guarantee to satisfy your music tastes and get that inner boogie on the dance floor.
Blues Exile - a mix of traditional blues fused with original melodic blues rock they produce an original blues sound without losing the sincerity and the original feel the Blues deserves.
The Hollerin Sluggers - are a power house trio that perform a mixture of originals and upbeat high energy gritty blues.
Mark n The Blues - take you on a journey to the deep south where the delta blues was born, through the ages and styles from past to present.
Charlie Harper Band -a four piece rock and blues band that formed in the illawarra about four or so years ago.
4 Kings - The 4 Kings love the ‘3 kings’ of the blues, (albert, freddie, bb), and dig playing songs of these blues guitar legends as well as a selection of equally classic blues-rock and funk.
Jim Finn - a live finn gig is a dazzling blend of familiar classics and soonto-be familiar original compositions in a crisp, road-hardened show of slick musicianship, finn have been delighting audiences for years and show no signs of stopping.
Jack Derwin – Performing as a dynamic solo blues and roots, Castle Hill local Jack Derwin has played at the Australian Blues music festival amongst many others, is currently # 2 on the Australian Blues and Roots Charts
