LETTER FROM THE EDITOR’S DESK
Nearly a month down into the New Year and a lot of us are just getting back into the swing of things.
This was my first Christmas with the magazine and as such there were a lot of get togethers in the lead up to the new year. Our Hills to Hawkesbury Living team have only being at it for a while and so it was amazing to see the number of relationships and connections we had made throughout the community in such a short time.
Thanks to the Rotary Club of Dural, I was sponsored to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) 2017. This was a weeklong course held in Elanora Heights at the start of January. After a quick holiday down the south coast and our 6th January issue, headed of to what now 90 other young people affectionately call RYLA.
The week combined listening to many of Australia’s finest speakers with engaging and challenging activities, designed to enable young leaders to grow to their full potential. Thank you to the Rotary Club of Dural for sponsoring me and to Rotary District 9685 for holding the event. Would encourage all Rotary clubs to look at sponsoring someone in their community.
Again, as always, please support our local shops and businesses. If you need a trade or service take a look in the back. If you would like to advertise or contribute, please contact Melinda on 0499 040 726 or email adver[email protected]stohawkesbury.com.au. I can also be contacted on 1300 616 614. Happy reading! Chris
