LETTER FROM THE EDITOR’S DESK
Despite the long weekends it has been a busy time for us here at the Hills to Hawkesbury Living. We have been growing our team and expanding not only the Hills to Hawkesbury but some of our other publications and look forward to sharing some new news with you soon!
Usually for ANZAC day we would go to the local dawn service, however, this year we travelled down to my parents and grandparents town of West Wyalong. Despite some rain the dawn and morning services were well attended.
It is always moving to remember those that have sacrificed their lives and if not the most important day of the year in the Australian calendar then very close to it. During one of the speeches given by a Lieutenant Colonel of the Australian Army, he asked how do we ourselves emulate the ANZAC spirit in our day to day lives? And, do we see them in our society today? I would like to think so. Again, as always, please support our local shops and businesses. If you need a trade or service take a look in the back. If you would like to advertise or contribute, please contact Melinda on 0499 040 726 or email adver[email protected]stohawkesbury.com.au. I can also be contacted on 1300 616 614. Happy reading!
