New Wind­sor-Hawkes­bury Com­mu­nity Ra­dio Starts Trans­mit­ting - Come and Be In­volved

Fi­nally for the first time in 40 years, a new ra­dio ser­vice is be­ing es­tab­lished in the Hawkes­bury by CAMS called Wind­sor-Hawkes­bury Com­mu­nity Ra­dio (WHCR).

The old li­cence holder lost its li­cence due to non com­pli­ance, and WHCR is step­ping in and step­ping up for the sake of the Hawkes­bury com­mu­nity and lo­cal me­dia.

As an as­pi­rant per­ma­nent com­mu­nity broad­caster, WHCR is openly invit­ing mem­bers of the Hawkes­bury to join in and be a part of a new grass roots ra­dio ser­vice that is de­signed and run by the peo­ple of the Hawkes­bury.

Ini­tial Mem­ber­ship is open to ev­ery­body for just $2! And is free for sup­port­ers who live within the Hawkes­bury LGA, or nearby.

Ralph He­ness the Act­ing In­terim Chair­per­son of WHCR strongly en­cour­ages the com­mu­nity to be­come a part of this new and fresh and in­clu­sive ap­proach to com­mu­nity ra­dio for the Hawkes­bury .
