From amaz­ing an­i­mals and craft to siz­zling car soc­cer and fire­works there will be so much fun for all ages at this year’s Hawkes­bury Show.

It will be the 123rd show and the his­toric agri­cul­tural event has evolved to meet de­mand, with a packed pro­gram set to daz­zle and en­ter­tain the whole fam­ily over three days from May 10 to May 12.

Ad­mis­sion prices are the same as pre­vi­ous years and cover ac­cess to all pavil­ions, arena en­ter­tain­ment, com­mer­cial dis­plays, stage en­ter­tain­ment and an­i­mal sheds.

This year’s show will fea­ture a mega com­bined

Emer­gency Ser­vices dis­play, a new Taste the Hawkes­bury dis­play, sheep shear­ing de­mon­stra­tion, sheep dog ex­hi­bi­tion and Car Soc­cer in the main arena.

There will also be the fa­mous rac­ing pigs and the pop­u­lar Lego sec­tion. Fri­day, May 10 is a great day for school groups and in­ter­ested hobby farm­ers with a num­ber of spe­cial­ist talks such as Cat­tle Groom­ing, Car­ing for Sheep and How to Wash a Chook be­ing held.

Art is big this with in­creased num­bers in art and craft plus the fa­mous Painted Chook com­pe­ti­tion is back.

The Lego sec­tion is in its third year fea­tures an Aussie theme this year. New at­trac­tions in­clude a choco­late craft cat­e­gory and a men’s cook­ing sec­tion plus the true Taste of the Hawkes­bury ex­hibit.

With wood­chop, show­bags and rides there re­ally will be some­thing for ev­ery­one across the three days in­clud­ing poul­try, cats, rats, dogs, al­pacas, don­keys, cat­tle, sheep, goats, ducks, horses, and rep­tiles.

The of­fi­cial open­ing of Hawkes­bury Show will take place on Satur­day at 1pm by Gra­ham Ross from Bet­ter Homes and Gar­dens.
