Holiday with Kids

So much to do, so little time

-

Nestled in pretty tropical gardens on a beachfront dotted with colourful wooden fishing boats, the Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali offers a fun-filled, familyfriendly stay that’s incredibly peaceful while remaining conveniently close to all the action of South Kuta.

Swim and dine time

The dazzling lagoon-style pool with floating beds is a huge hit with both our kids. My young daughter gravitates towards the shaded toddlers’ pool, while her brother is kept busy with the resort’s complimentary boogie board lessons. My husband and I? We gravitate towards the swim-up bar for happy hour cocktails and some ‘couple time’.

At dinnertime we manage to escape the watery lure of the pool for a meal at one of the resort’s excellent restaurants which offer a selection of local and international cuisine. A kids’ healthy choice menu, part of Holiday Inn’s Kids Stay & Eat Free programme, offers nutritionally balanced meal options, which my little ones can’t seem to get enough of. The resort caters extensively for families with many of its recreation facilities located in and around the Resort Hub. Along with a tour desk, mini library and general store, there’s a coffee shop for mum and dad and a teppan icecream kiosk the kids will find impossible to resist. Complimentary internet access in guest rooms and across the resort’s public spaces means that you can share all the fun with your friends and family through social media.

It’s also the location of Rascals Kids’ Club, a supervised air- conditioned space for kids aged four to 12 that is complimentary for guests. Equipped with lots of toys, puzzles and books in various languages plus a games corner stocked with Wii and Xbox consoles, there are also additional activities including a kids’ cooking class (available for a small additional cost) where mini chefs can learn their way around the kitchen.
