Fiji. Quick flight. Locals love little kids. We hired a nanny and booked the kids’ club for a couple of nights so we could have dinner. Kids loved being in the pool and at the beach. Stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking, too. And a spa for mum! No fuss, easy holiday with such good deals. Megan O

Hello everyone, I’m looking for a reasonably priced holiday in Australia. Which destination has been your budget-friendly favourite? It would be for a week’s holiday with a family of four.

We love staying at Waters Edge Port Macquarie. For a cheap getaway, this place is great. We have stayed a few times and have been lucky enough to see dolphins from our balcony each time. Make sure you ask for the ocean-view room. Very reasonably priced. Rebecca E

Which state are you thinking of? Airfares can chew into the budget a lot. There are some nice places on the East Coast of New South Wales; Coffs Harbour, Forster, Port Macquarie, Nelson Bay and South Coast (Wollongong) are all nice family holiday spots. Debbie D
