OPPOSITES ATTRACT
Fascinated by the relationship of technology and the environment, Australian-based artist René Twigge photographs flowers in the wild, then uses her computer to digitally recompose the floral arrangement. René loves to challenge and blend the lines between organic and digital. She curates the flowers to look natural but not quite real, as the reimagined flowers are lent an air of drama with their vivid colours set against a black background.
“I’m inspired by the forms, textures and colours of plants during various stages of growth and deterioration,” says René, whose ‘Bloom v7.1’ print is seen above. For more information on her artwork, visit au.lumas.com.
