Fabricated and installed by Hills Robes, Kitchens & Screens, the kitchen makes an impact with Polytec in matt Black on the doors and panels (left & above left) and Caesarstone in Vanilla Noir on the benchtops (left). The timber slab on the breakfast bar adds warmth to a kitchen that judge and architect Drew Heath says is on point. “The trend is for a mix of materials in a kitchen, putting materials where they are most suitable,” he says. “This might be stainless steel or Caesarstone around sinks, and timber on benches as a chopping element.” The ‘Burazzo’ double-bowl undermount sink and ‘Chevron’ pull-down sink mixer (above right) are both from Highgrove Bathrooms.
