With the kitchen becoming an extension of our living areas and a favoured space to socialise, you could consider it the new working hub, where you can happily make a mess and deal with it at your leisure. “As the solution to keeping your main kitchen tidy and clutter-free, it’s invaluable,” says judge and Wendy Moore. “Even a basic set-up, such as a prep area, storage and second sink, can work wonders to keep mess under control in your on-show space.” For regular entertainers, if there’s room, also consider including cooking facilities such as a fridge or dishwasher. The optimal size and layout depends on how much space you have and how you intend to use it.
