Beachside bliss

Sydney-based interior designer Tamsin Johnson has given Byron Bay’s luxury boutique resort Rae’s on Wategos a well-deserved face lift (above). The brief was to create a beach-style haven that felt like home; Tamsin has used a simple, monochrome palette, as well as raw materials and natural fabrics, to achieve the desired vibe – think unpolished travertine, carved sandstone and plaster-finish joinery alongside washed linens and cottons.
