Who lives here?

Shania, a Melbourne-based photographer, and her partner, Tom, who works in the pharmaceutical industry.

What did you most want to bring to your home? Shania: “It was more a case of knowing what we didn’t want, such as stainless-steel splashbacks.” Tom: “And no low doors or poky spaces.” Where does your inspiration come from? Shania: “As a photographer, I see a lot of different homes and I appreciate a lot of different styles. But I love to bring personality into a home.” What decorator items would we never see here? “Cut flowers. I love flowers in the garden, but not inside. You’ll also never see anything pink!” Advice to others living in a small home? “Try to keep the volumes as big as you can with as few walls as possible.”
