TREND 4: URBAN SAFARI
Born from an Out of Africa-meets-the digital age aesthetic, this trend celebrates graphic prints, tactile fabrics and a vibe that speaks to colonial history with a thoroughly modern voice. The palette, according to HB senior stylist Rachel Peters, is “drawn from the desert, conveying a wild and free interior” – think black, white, tan leather, olive and aged brass. “White, black and tan is a palette that just works,” says Wendy Rennie of Haymes. “It creates a contemporary and relaxed feel in both modern and character homes. The injection of tan into a zone really warms it up. While white walls create a feeling of space, the addition of black and white elements will enhance this feeling by minimising clutter and keeping the room simple.” Colours: Haymes Modesty White, Deep Buff, Intrigue.
“This scheme is the perfect solution for those large, open-plan, high-traffic spaces in the home” ~ Wendy Rennie, Haymes colour expert
