Katherine Wood’s artwork ‘Coastal Dunes’ informed the soft palette of the makeover and takes pride of place in the adjoining dining area. An array of furniture – including a ‘Tapered Leg Table II’ oak dining table from Città Design and replica ‘Wishbone’ chairs from Matt Blatt – was chosen to complete the room’s transformation and inject warmth into the gently toned area. “With dark timber floors spanning the large, open-plan space, we opted to lighten the look with complementary timber tones and textures to create interest and dimension,” says designer Helen Carter. The timber-and-metal Oly ‘Thor’ sliding cabinet is from Coco Republic.
