For a kitchen beaming with character, look to Spain for inspiration. Mediterranean kitchens are known for their vibrant patterned tiles, paired with unrefined materials and layers of texture. “Rustic timber elements create warmth,” says interior designer Georgie Shepherd. Cladding areas of the kitchen with Spanish-look designs will give the space a strong theme. Artisan tiles on the floor make a statement, or “Go for a great tile on the splashback or front of the island to add that pop of colour,” says Georgie.
