Change up appliances

If any of your appliances are on the fritz, look at replacing them with products that will give you an edge when entertaining. “Look for an oven that has different cooktops, so you’re never restricting your menu,” adds Daniel. A good oven is essential – and two are even better. Consider a double oven, or pair a steam oven with a conventional model. “This can easily be added to an existing kitchen with minor joinery modification,” says Carmel Wylie of GIA Bathrooms & Kitchens, who also suggests dish drawers in place of a standard dishwasher. A bar fridge is a handy inclusion if you’re looking to expand your appliance list.
